This year, Toowoomba Golf Club's Braiswick Cup attracted 85 entrants including 16 ladies.

The winner "Buzz" Brown defeated Mark Roggenkamp on the last green. Buzz came to Toowoomba from the United States two years ago to play professional baseball. This was his first ever match play competition.

The Braiswick is sponsored by Nancy Young and her partner David Goss with prizes to the value of $850 (£350).

Nancy Young, nowadays Vice President of Toowoomba Golf Club (est 1896) and whose father and mother were captains at Colchester Golf Club last century, in 2005 inaugurated a knockout club competition for men and ladies called ...The Braiswick Cup Colchester Golf Club congratulates Nancy and Toowoomba Golf Club on their fine choice of name and competition format.
