Welcome to Colchester Golf Club
Colchester Golf Club founded in 1907 is a non-profit making members club owned and run by the members for the benefit of the members and the local community. The course consists of 18 holes designed by the 5 times Open Champion James Braid. It has a par of 70 with a length of 6,357 yards.
There is no doubt it is one of the best Essex courses, situated just north of the town and off the A12. Its fast running fairways lined with mature trees provide a wonderful test of golf. The four par threes and two par fives mean scoring below 70 is more difficult than it might seem at first and possibly the greatest threat to the unwary golfer comes in the form of tightly bunkered approaches to small subtly contoured greens.
